London on the Day I Was Born

2024   Back

London is constantly changing. The streets and skies of the City look different today from how they did last year, and the year before, and thirty years ago. The day I was born, in October 1994, was a pretty important day for my life, but it was just another Wednesday in the long history of London. The past is a place we can never visit, though by using Tipp-Ex on recent photographs, covering everything built after 1994, we can get a glimpse of what it might have looked like.
