Night Tapestries

(2019)   Back

It is dark as you lie in bed. Outside the window, through translucent curtains not fully drawn you hear the trains rattle by, every fifteen minutes this way, and every fifteen minutes the other. Someone is whistling from their back door, into the patchwork gardens, calling in their cat. You sit up and touch the windowpane - it's cold from the midnight's wind.
