My new shoes saved my life

(2018)

Back

A body of work created for a group exhibition, based on two themes: cars and shoes. Exploring how they both relate to taste, commerce and mass production. The pieces were displayed in a car which visitors peered into. In the driver's seat was a screen playing a video playlist, with videos inspired by TV game shows and vlogs.

Images from the exhibition. The inside of the car was decorated with drawings, paintings, a fabric banner, printouts from Instagram, LEGO models of cars, and a screen showing the video playlist (above)
