(2015)
I attempted to recreate famous paintings with my own limited skills and a beginner's set of acrylics. The process was difficult, and felt futile - knowing that my versions will never be as good as the originals. In a way it reflects the problem at the base of all art-making: that what you make will never be as good as you want it to be. On the back I signed each painting with my name, and the words: I TRIED MY BEST.
